The Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT Tapping

What is the Emotional Freedom Technique?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or EFT Tapping (and sometimes referred to also as Meridian Tapping) is a stress-reduction tool combining psychology with the bodyโ€™s acupressure points. By bringing to mind what is emotionally distressing while gently pressing on acupressure points along the face and body, a calming signal is sent to the brain notifying the mind-body system it is safe in the present moment. Essentially, EFT Tapping turns down the volume of our Fight/Flight signals and turns up the calm.

Supported by peer-reviewed research, EFT Tapping gently and effectively reduces the effects of physical stress, emotional distress, PTSD and chronic pain while bolstering mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical health.

EFT Tapping is commonly combined with psychotherapy and counseling modalities such as Cognitive Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Parts Work, Transformational Coaching approaches, Mindfulness practices, and is used with holistic health protocols.
